[ how it works ]
Three steps, a few seconds each
No templates, no column mapping, no bank connection. It works the same for a one-page photo and a hundred-page year of statements.
01
Upload your statements
Drop in PDFs straight from online banking, scanned pages, or phone photos. Add as many as you like at once.
02
We read and check every line
Each transaction is extracted, given a clean payee name and a category, and checked against the statement's balances.
03
Download what you need
Excel with a summary sheet, CSV, QuickBooks or Xero import files, OFX or QIF. One statement or a whole year combined.
[ why trust it ]
Every statement has to balance
Reading a statement is easy to get almost right. We prove it's right: opening balance, plus everything in, minus everything out, must equal the closing balance — and the running balance must agree on every line.
- Misread signs are corrected automatically from the running balance.
- Duplicated rows at page breaks are removed.
- A PDF with several accounts (say a local-currency and a EUR account) becomes one checked statement per account.
- If something still doesn't add up, the exact rows are flagged with their page number — and that statement uses no pages.
[ categories ]
Categorized by AI, the way you would do it
Bank descriptions are written for banks, not people. Every transaction gets a clean payee name and one of your categories — in your language, with your own category list.
- Start with sensible categories, then rename, add or remove them.
- Change one category and turn it into a rule for every future statement.
- Rules you set always win; everything else is categorized by AI.

[ questions ]
Good questions
How do I convert a bank statement PDF to Excel?
Upload the PDF (or several), wait a few seconds while every transaction is read and checked, then choose Export → Excel. You get one row per transaction with date, payee, description, category, amount and balance, plus a summary sheet.
Which banks do you support?
Any bank, credit card or payment account that produces a statement — there are no templates to wait for. Statements in any language work, including number formats like 1.234,56 and dates without a year.
How accurate is it?
Every statement with balances is checked: opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the closing balance, and running balances are checked row by row. If the numbers don't add up, we show exactly which rows to look at — and that statement uses no pages.
How are transactions categorized?
AI reads each description, gives it a clean payee name and picks one of your categories. You can edit categories, and any change can become a rule that applies to future statements.
Can I convert scanned statements or phone photos?
Yes. Scanned PDFs and photos (JPG, PNG) are read the same way as digital PDFs, and the balance check tells you whether anything was missed.
Can I import the result into QuickBooks or Xero?
Yes. Export a QuickBooks Online CSV, a .qbo (Web Connect) file for QuickBooks Desktop, or a Xero statement CSV. You can also combine many statements into one import file.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Enter the password when you upload. It's used once to open the file and never stored.
What counts as a page?
One page of a PDF or one photo that contains transactions. Cover pages and legal small print without transactions aren't counted. CSV, Excel, OFX, QIF, CAMT and MT940 files never use pages.
Is there a free trial?
Yes: your first statement is free (up to 10 pages, one month). After that there's no free plan, but you never buy blind: upload a statement and we show you how many transactions we found, whether they balance, and the first rows. Pay only if you want the full result.
What happens to my files?
The uploaded file is read and then discarded. The extracted transactions stay in your account so you can review and export them, until you delete them or your auto-delete setting removes them.
Can I edit the results?
Yes. Fix any date, description, amount or category in the table; the balance check re-runs as you save.
Who handles payments and invoices?
Paddle is our merchant of record. They process payments, handle VAT or sales tax for your country, and send invoices. Your card statement shows the charge as PADDLE.NET.
