Convert Nubank statements and faturas to Excel
The Nubank app e-mails your account extrato as PDF or OFX for any month since you opened the account, but not as a spreadsheet. Upload the OFX (it uses no pages) or the PDF, or your credit card fatura, and get Excel or CSV with clean payees, categories and a balance check.

Step by step
- 1
Export the extrato
In the app, open your account area, swipe the actions row to Exportar Extrato, pick the month and confirm. Nubank sends the PDF and OFX to your registered e-mail.
- 2
Upload the files
Drop the OFX or PDF here — a whole year of months at once is fine. Add your fatura PDFs too.
- 3
Review
Every transaction gets a clean payee and a category, and each month is checked against its opening and closing balance.
- 4
Export
Download one Excel or CSV file for all months, or a file for QuickBooks, Xero or any app that imports OFX.
How to export a Nubank extrato
On the app's home screen, go to the account area (tap your balance), swipe the row of actions to the left and choose Exportar Extrato (export statement) (Nubank's blog also calls it Pedir Extrato). Choose the month and tap Exportar Extrato again. The file goes to the e-mail address on your profile — check it under Perfil → Meus dados → E-mail. Nubank's own announcement, Exporte extratos diretamente de sua conta Nubank pelo app, describes the steps.
Each export covers one calendar month, up to the previous day, and you can pick any month since the account was opened. The same feature works for business (PJ) accounts, and Nubank's page for Nu Empresas lists OFX, PDF and CSV as the export formats there.
Which formats Nubank offers
| Document | Format | History | With us |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account extrato (personal) | PDF and OFX by e-mail | Any month since opening | OFX uses no pages; PDF 1 page per page |
| Account extrato (Nu Empresas) | PDF, OFX and CSV | Any month since opening | OFX and CSV use no pages |
| Credit card fatura | One bill per closing date | Converted — 1 page per PDF page | |
| Single transaction receipt | Comprovante in the app | Per transaction | Use the monthly extrato instead |
OFX is the best upload when you have it: it's structured data, so nothing has to be read off a page and it uses no pages. What OFX is and where it works: what is an OFX file.
Why convert a Nubank extrato at all?
The OFX file imports into some finance apps directly, but it doesn't open as a usable table in Excel or Google Sheets, and the PDF is made for reading, not for formulas. Converting helps when:
- You want a spreadsheet — one row per transaction, real dates and numbers — for a budget, the annual tax return or an accountant.
- You need twelve months in one file: the app sends one month per export, and we merge them in date order.
- You only have PDFs, for example extratos a client or family member forwarded to you.
- You want categories and clean names: Pix transfers, boletos and card purchases sorted into groceries, rent, transport and so on.
- You need the credit card fatura in Excel, and all you have is the PDF bill.
Nubank extrato and fatura quirks
- Brazilian number and date formats. PDFs print amounts as R$ 1.234,56 and dates as DD/MM/YYYY. Both are read correctly; Excel gets real numbers and dates, and the CSV export can keep the DD/MM/YYYY format.
- Account vs card. Credit card purchases are listed on the fatura, not on the account extrato; the account only shows the bill payment. Upload both if you want all spending in one place, and categorize the bill payment as a transfer so it isn't counted twice.
- Installments. Brazilian card bills list installment purchases (parcelado) one installment per bill, usually marked like 3/10. Each installment is its own row with its own amount.
- Foreign purchases on the fatura can carry a separate IOF charge line; it's extracted as its own row so you can categorize it.
- Money moved between your own accounts — to another bank or into a Caixinha (savings box) — appears as money out and back in. Mark those rows as transfers so they don't inflate income and spending.
Convert Nubank statements to Excel, CSV or accounting software
Upload the OFX or PDF and each transaction gets the original description, a clean payee name — usually the person or company behind a Pix — and a category from your list. For PDFs the balance check runs on every month: opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the closing balance, and rows that don't add up are flagged with their page number. A statement that doesn't balance uses no pages.
Then export: Excel with a Summary sheet by category and month, CSV with semicolons and DD/MM/YYYY dates for Brazilian tools, or OFX for software that imports bank files — which is also how you turn a fatura PDF into an OFX. QuickBooks Online CSV, Xero CSV and QIF are available too. If your accounting system imports OFX or CSV, import the file it produces; we don't connect to it directly.
Credit card faturas
Card bills are where a PDF converter matters most: the extrato export above covers the account, not the card, so the fatura PDF is usually what you have. Save each closed bill as a PDF, upload a year of them together, and export one Excel file with every purchase, installment and fee. See credit card statements to Excel for how card statements are checked, or browse other banks.
Questions
Can I export Nubank statements as OFX or CSV?
Personal accounts export the extrato as PDF and OFX by e-mail, for any month since the account was opened. Nu Empresas also offers CSV.
How do I convert a Nubank credit card bill to Excel?
Upload the fatura PDF. Every purchase, installment and fee becomes a row with a category, and you can export Excel, CSV or OFX.
How do I open a Nubank OFX file in Excel?
Excel doesn't read OFX as a clean table. Upload the OFX here — it uses no pages — and download an Excel file with dates, amounts, payees and categories.
Can I combine twelve months of Nubank extratos?
Yes. Upload all the monthly files and export them together, optionally limited to a date range such as the tax year.
What does it cost?
OFX and CSV uploads use no pages but need a plan or pack; PDF pages start at $12 for 100. You see the transaction count and balance check before paying — see pricing.
Is it safe?
We never ask for your Nubank login; uploaded files are read in memory and not stored. See security.
