Convert PKO Bank Polski statements to Excel

PKO BP gives you monthly wyciągi (statements) as PDFs in iPKO, and iPKO biznes users can download MT940 or camt.053 reports, but only for the last 12 months. Upload the PDFs here for any period and get a balance-checked Excel or CSV file. MT940 and camt.053 files convert without using pages.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Download the wyciąg

In iPKO, open Moje produkty (my products), pick the account, then Szczegóły → Korespondencja z banku (details → correspondence from the bank) and click Pobierz wyciąg (download statement).

  2. 2

    Upload it

Drop in one statement or a whole year. Scans and phone photos of paper statements work too. iPKO biznes users can upload MT940 or camt.053 reports instead; they use no pages.

  3. 3

    Check the balance

Each statement is checked: opening balance + credits − debits must equal the closing balance. Rows that don't add up are flagged with their page number.

  4. 4

    Export

Download Excel, a CSV with semicolons and DD.MM.YYYY dates, or a QuickBooks, Xero, OFX or QIF file.

How to download PKO BP statements in iPKO and IKO

PKO calls statements wyciągi and delivers them as electronic correspondence. In the iPKO web service:

  1. Open Moje produkty (my products) and choose the account.
  2. Select Szczegóły → Korespondencja z banku (details → correspondence from the bank).
  3. Click Pobierz wyciąg (download statement) and choose the document you need.

Still getting paper statements? Switch to electronic delivery in iPKO under Ustawienia → Korespondencja i powiadomienia (settings → correspondence and notifications), or in the IKO app under Ustawienia → Dane i personalizacja → Moje dane → Korespondencja z banku. PKO describes both paths on its statement help page.

Which formats PKO BP offers (and how far back)

The report limits come from PKO's iPKO biznes file specification: standard reports reach back at most one year, and one download covers at most three months. JPK_WB is the standard file for the Polish tax office. PKO generates it only as .xml with a fixed structure, so it isn't a spreadsheet replacement.

Personal iPKO and IKO users can browse the operation history and save a PDF confirmation (potwierdzenie) for a single transaction. PKO's public help pages don't document a bulk history export for personal accounts, so the PDF wyciąg is the dependable source.

When you still need to convert the PDF

  • Business history older than 12 months. Standard iPKO biznes reports stop at one year, so earlier months exist only as PDF wyciągi.
  • Statements from clients. Accounting offices usually receive PDFs, not report files. Upload a client's whole year at once and export one combined file. See bank statement conversion for accountants.
  • Personal accounts. Without a documented bulk export, monthly PDF statements are the practical way to get a year into a spreadsheet.
  • Paper statements and closed accounts. Scans and phone photos (JPG, PNG or WebP) are read like PDFs.
  • Credit card statements. These list purchases, fees and the repayment separately. See credit card statements to Excel.
  • Files we can't read. If someone sends you JPK_WB, Elixir or Kontakt files, ask for the PDF wyciągi or an MT940 or camt.053 report for the same period.

PKO BP statement quirks

Polish statements follow Polish conventions, which trip up generic PDF-to-Excel tools:

  • Amounts use a comma for decimals and a space (or nothing) between thousands: 1 234,56. Pasted into an English-language Excel, they often end up as text. Our export writes real numbers.
  • Dates appear as DD.MM.YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD, and a transaction can carry both an operation date and a booking date.
  • Long transfer titles (tytuł przelewu) and counterparty details run over several lines per transaction. They're joined into one description, and the payee gets a clean name.
  • The VAT account. Polish business accounts come with a linked VAT account (rachunek VAT) for split payments, with its own balance. PKO's file specification even shows separate MT940 reports for it. Treat it as its own account: a PDF that holds several accounts is split into one statement per account.
  • Currency accounts (rachunki walutowe) have their own statements in EUR, USD and so on. Each one is balance-checked on its own.

Convert PKO BP statements to Excel, CSV or accounting software

Upload the PDFs, or the MT940 and camt.053 files. Every transaction is extracted with a clean payee and a category. Then the statement is checked: opening balance + credits − debits must equal the closing balance, and the running balance is checked on every row where the statement prints one. Rows that don't add up are flagged with their page number, and a statement that doesn't balance uses no pages.

Then export:

  • Excel with real dates and numbers, plus a Summary sheet by category and month
  • CSV with semicolons and DD.MM.YYYY dates, the regional format Polish Excel opens cleanly
  • QuickBooks Online CSV, Xero CSV, a .qbo file, OFX or QIF if you keep your books in one of those

Already have report files? See MT940 to Excel and camt.053 to Excel. Both import without using pages (you still need a plan or page pack). mBank statements work the same way: see mBank statement to Excel.

Questions

How do I export PKO BP account history to Excel?

For personal accounts, download the monthly PDF wyciągi from Szczegóły → Korespondencja z banku and convert them here into one Excel file. iPKO biznes users can also download MT940 or camt.053 reports for the last 12 months and upload them without using pages.

How do I convert PKO BP PDF statements older than 12 months?

Upload the PDF wyciągi for those months; several years at once is fine. Each statement is balance-checked, and you can export them as one combined Excel or CSV file, optionally limited to a date range.

Can I convert a JPK_WB file to Excel?

Not with us: we don't read JPK_WB XML. Use the PDF statements for the same period, or MT940 or camt.053 reports on business accounts.

What does it cost?

PDF pages with transactions are counted: 100 pages cost $12 and never expire. MT940, camt.053, CSV and Excel files use no pages. You see the transaction count and balance check before paying. See pricing.

Do you need my iPKO login?

No. You download the statements yourself and upload the files; there's no bank connection. Uploaded files are processed in memory and never stored. See security.
