Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Amr Al Hallak, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina for use of Bank Statement Categorizer.
The service
Bank Statement Categorizer converts bank and card statements you upload into structured transaction data. You must have the right to upload the documents you submit. The service only reads statements; it never creates, edits or generates bank statements or other financial documents.
Accuracy
We check statements against their printed balances and flag rows that don’t add up, but automated extraction can still make mistakes, especially with poor scans. You are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them for tax, accounting, lending or other decisions. The service is not financial, tax or legal advice.
Accounts
Keep access to your email secure; anyone with access to it can sign in. Don’t use the service to process documents you aren’t authorised to process, to attack the service, or to resell it without our permission.
Plans, pages and payments
- There is no free plan. Without a plan or pack pages, an uploaded statement is shown as a preview: a summary and its first few transactions. Unlocking it shows the full result and allows exports, and uses its pages.
- Monthly pages reset on the 1st of each month (UTC) and don’t roll over. Pack pages don’t expire while your account exists.
- Pages are charged only for pages that contain transactions. Statements that don’t balance are refunded automatically (up to 30 pages per month), and re-uploading the same file within 30 days returns the earlier result at no charge. Text files that have to be read by AI are counted as one page per ~3,000 characters.
- Refunds follow our refund policy: unused pages can be refunded within 14 days; pages already used are not refundable except where the law requires it. An account whose payment is disputed after its pages were used is paused until the dispute is resolved.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel in one click; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Payments are processed by Paddle.com, acting as merchant of record, under Paddle’s buyer terms. Depending on your country, applicable taxes are included in the price or added at checkout.
- If you are a consumer in the EU/UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal; by starting to use paid pages immediately you agree that the right ends once the service has been fully performed (pages used).
Availability
We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change features with reasonable notice.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Consumers keep the protections of the laws of their country of residence.
